In a big shock to the congress party in Gujarat, three senior party leaders resigned from Congress party and joined the Bhartiya Janta Party today citing inefficiency of congress. Arjun Modhwadiya, Ambarish Der and Mulu Kandoria are the three leaders who have joined BJP ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

A Series of Resignation
The congress party is suffering serious injuries with it’s senior leaders resigning from all over the country and joining other parties, especially BJP, the giant congress is fighting to stand against. If leaders keep on quitting the party and joining the ruling party BJP, it would be hard for congress to make a mark on the public.
On March 4, two of the senor most leaders of the Congress party resigned from their posts shocking the Congress part.
Arjun Modhwadia, a senior leader in the party and MLA from Porbandar handed over his resignation to the Vidhan Sabha speaker and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge. Modhwadia has been a part of congress for 40 years. He also served as the party state president. Former MLA targeted Congress party’s decision to not attend the Ram Mandir inauguration after receiving he invitation.
Amabrish Der, the current state president of Congress and an MLA from Rajula also resigned form all posts of congress.
Joining in BJP
All the three senior leaders joined BJP in the presences of state BJP chief, CR Patil on March 5th, Tuesday at ‘Shri Kamalam’ , BJP office, Gandhinagar. This move by senior leaders came just ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Nyay Yatra’ is scheduled to come to Gujarat.
