Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) during a rally in Kanyakumari on Friday, alleging that the party harbors animosity towards Tamil Nadu’s future and cultural heritage.

In his address, PM Modi asserted, “DMK is the enemy of the future and the culture of Tamil Nadu. Before the Ayodhya Ram temple ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, I came to Tamil Nadu and visited the prominent temples in the state. hey want to destroy the Tamil culture.”

The Prime Minister accused the state government of attempting to obstruct the broadcast of the recent Ayodhya temple event, leading to a rebuke from the Supreme Court. He also criticized the DMK’s opposition to the installation of the Sengol in the new parliament, highlighting his government’s support for Jallikattu. He said But the DMK govt tried to stop the telecast of the Ayodhya Ram temple consecration ceremony.”

BJP will shatter DMK’s arrogance

PM Modi expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) performance in Tamil Nadu would undermine the DMK-Congress alliance’s arrogance. He contrasted the BJP’s development initiatives with what he described as the opposition bloc’s history of corruption scandals.

DMK is anti-women

Additionally, PM Modi accused the DMK and Congress of being anti-women, alleging that they only deceived and insulted women.

Highlighting the Central government’s commitment to Kanyakumari’s development, PM Modi mentioned ongoing infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing connectivity in Tamil Nadu.

“To improve the connectivity of Tamil Nadu, we are preparing a network of railways and highways. Over the past 10 years, highway projects worth around Rs. 50,000 crore have been completed in Tamil Nadu. And, projects worth Rs. 70,000 crore are still underway,” he stated.

PM Modi is also scheduled to address a rally in the Kolar Lok Sabha constituency in Karnataka and hold a roadshow from Mirjaguda to Malkajgiri near Hyderabad later in the evening.
