Neil deGrasse Tyson, an
American astrophysicist who met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New York
on the evening of Tuesday, stated that he envisions a “bright future for
India.”

Tyson, an author and
science communicator, recited a passage from his book “Space Chronicles:
Facing the Ultimate Frontier” when he met Prime Minister Modi.

“For me, the sky
is not the limit,” Tyson said while displaying his book to PM Modi, to
which Modi responded, “Wah!” They both enjoyed laughs and posed for
photographs. Following his meeting
with Prime Minister Modi, Neil deGrasse Tyson later remarked, “I’m
confident I’m not alone in stating that the potential of India for achievement
is limitless.”

The PM also posted
about his interaction with the American astrophysicist on Twitter.
“Discussed the universe, science, and related topics with @neiltyson.
Prime Minister Modi tweeted about the measures India has initiated to reform
the space sector and attract more young people to science and innovation.
