After a video of an Indian women was seen on the verge of starvation, reported to be depressed,
deterioting on the streets of Chicago, the Indian Consultant in Chicago were trying to locate her for aid.
The consultant added that they will, “extend all possible Consular, medical, or other support she might need”.
All assistant will be provided to her.

The woman, Syeda Lulu Minaj Zaidi, comes from Telangana, who went to the US to pursue MS from TRINE University, Detroit in August 2021. The mother informed in the letter written to the external affairs minister Dr. S Jaishankar that she was worried because her daughter didn’t contact her for a few days. Through two Hyderabadi youth, the mother became aware of the situation of the daughter. Zaidi’s entire belongings were stolen due to which she was on the verge of starvation and found on the streets of Chicago.
A letter on the Twitter page of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Khaleequr Rahman was posted regarding the
issue raised by the mother. The consultant general of India informed PTI, “The Consulate is aware of the case of Syeda Lulu Minaj Zaidi. With the help of local police and NGOs, the Consulate is trying to locate her. The Consulate will extend all possible Consular, medical, or other support she might need.”
In further twitter update, Rahman could get in touch with a social worker in Chicago, Mukarram. Him, alongside his family met Zaidi and she is now undergoing proper treatment in a hospital. He added that she was severally depressed because she won’t be able to get a job in the US and she would be needing a proper treatment before travelling back to India.
The BRS leader also said he would personally request the external affairs minister to help her mother travel to the US to meet the daughter.
