On Saturday, at the restaurant in the Pasiyapetta area of Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu, a fire out because of the explosion of a gas cylinder. The flames then spread out to a cracker godown near the restaurant which then resulted in a bigger explosion locally. People were, reportedly, caught ablaze because of which lives of six people were claimed and several others were injured.

A crowd quickly gathered around the area. Fire fighters were called in and they battled to put the fire to ease. After several explosion it was difficult to obtain.

It has been reported by the locals that the firecracker godown owner Ravi, his wife Jayashree, daughter Rutika, son Ruddish, the restaurant owner Rajeshwari, Imran, and Ibrahim died in the grave incident. The death toll is rising too as the critically injured people are receiving critical care in the hospital. There are people still trapped in the rubble and the firefighters are still working on rescuing them.

The police is reported to be investigation as to how a firecracker godown was allowed to be given space in a densely populated area.
District Collector Sarayu and Superintendent of Police Saroj Kumar were soon seen on the location to take better care of the whole situation.
