The crime took place at Rohru’s Tikkar market when the victim, Shiv Kumar, stole a packet of chips from a shop. Following this, the accused, Rahul Soni, thrashed the youngster, rubbed chili powder in his eyes, and eventually stripped him nude in front of a mob of onlookers in a fit of rage.
According to a police officer, the suspects were charged under sections 341 (wrongful restraint) and 323 (voluntarily causing harm) of the Indian Penal Code, as well as section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.
In addition, the authorities are advising the public not to broadcast the incident’s video on social media platforms.
An investigation is currently ongoing, and the police have promised that the accused would face harsh punishment.
