A 31-year-old butcher was detained on Saturday in north Delhi’s Sadar Bazar area for reportedly killing the husband of his one-sided love interest.
Mohammad Aamir, an Ahata-Kidara native, was detained for allegedly killing Sameer during a drunken scuffle.

His accomplice, Mohammad Rizwan, had previously been arrested in connection with the incident on Tuesday.
According to an officer, police received a report on Tuesday about a man who was hurt and laying in a pool of blood on Chamelian Road in the Sadar Bazar district.
When they arrived, they discovered the victim had been stabbed in the right side of the neck with a shattered bottle by his side. They transported him to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital, where he died from heavy bleeding, according to reports.
When someone called him on his phone, the victim’s identity was disclosed. According to authorities, the individual was identified as Mohammad Sameer, 32, of Sultanpuri.
According to the police, he was hit with a shattered liquor bottle discovered nearby with blood smears.
CCTV footage showed two people on a motorcycle near the crime scene during the inquiry, he added.
The hazy video showed a man with the same build as one of the people who had called Sameer on WhatsApp.
On Tuesday, police detained a man named Mohammad Aamir with the assistance of local intelligence.
During questioning, Amir revealed his plot to kill Sameer as well as the identity of his accomplice, Rizwan, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Sagar Singh Kalsi.
