Home Minister Amit Shah kicked off his Lok Sabha Election campaign from Gandhi Nagar on Friday, March 15th. The Home Minister will be contesting the general election from his home seat, Gandhi Nagar, which is his current constituency.

Upon arriving in Gandhi Nagar, Amit Shah first visited the Hanuman temple at Subhash Chowk. After seeking the blessings of Lord Hanuman, he addressed a gathering of BJP Karyakartas, encouraging them to dedicate their blood and sweat to the upcoming general elections.

Bharat Mata ki Jai and Jai Sri Ram

The Union Minister started his address with ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and ‘Jai Sri Ram.’ He mentioned that he remembered the day when he first filled out his nomination for the Member of Legislative Assembly 19 years ago from Gandhi Nagar. He emphasized the importance of the internal democracy of the Bharatiya Janata Party, stating that only such a democratic party could actually elevate a normal Karyakarta to the position of Home Minister of the country and a tea seller to the position of Prime Minister of the country

He further advocated the work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the accomplishments of the Modi government over the past 10 years are visible and significant. The current state of security in the country is a result of the government’s efforts to safeguard the nation both internally and externally. Whether it’s terrorism, Naxalites, cross-border infiltration, or disputes, India has stood strong and has been able to provide a fitting response. The removal of Article 370 is one of the most significant tasks undertaken by the BJP government.

He further said that he has been travelling across the country and can hear people chanting Modi Modi everywhere similar to Gandhi Nagar. From North to South from West to North East, the whole country is chanting “Abki Baar 400 Paar” in unity.

Request to the Karyakartas

While encouraging the Karyakartas to give their 100% for the election campaign over the coming months, he requested the Karyakartas saying that there should not be any lack of efforts while they campaign for the party. He said that BJP workers should not only profess for the BJP government but they should campaign keeping in mind an India which is Great. He said that this election campaign is not for a BJP government but for a great Country.
