As a big shock to Congress, MLA from, Member of Legislative assembly Arjun Modwadia has resigned from position as a lawmaker and submitted his resignation citing congress’ decision to not attend ram Mandir Pran Pratistha.
Modhwadia was a congress working for the party for many decades. He submitted his resignation to Gujarat Assembly’s speaker. Modhwadia also served as the Gujarat president for the party and the leader of opposition in Gujarat.
The congress party has faced a major setback as two major faces of the party have declared their resignation on March 4th. Ambraish Der, MLA of Rajula, the current party president in Gujarat has also resigned from his position.
Arjun Modhwadia not on same page with congress
The former congress party veteran has cited Congress party’s decision to not join the Pran Pratistha of Ram Mandir earlier this year. # prominent leader form Congress received invitation from the Ram Mandir Temple trust organisation. The party turned down the invitation calling it a BJP program.
Arjun Modhwadia in his resignation cited that Lord Ram is the aastha of Bharat and he was not happy with the party’s decision to boycott the evet. He also said that he found himself helpless in working for the people of Porbandar and Gujarat in Large.
Arjun Modhwadia has been with Indian National Congress for the past 40 years. He said that “he had been connected with congress since his student days. He had given his blood and sweat to the party. The party has grown apart from the people of the country. ”
