On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually addressed the 70,000+ new recruits who received their appointment letters from his office.
There were 44 sites across the country where the Rozgar Mela was held.
Government agencies at both the federal and state/UT levels are assisting with the hiring processes. The newly hired employees will be placed in a wide range of government agencies across the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated in an address to the new government employees, “During the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ when the country is moving on the path to development, it is a wonderful privilege to receive the opportunity to serve the nation as a government employee.
The prime minister extended his best wishes to the recruits and their families on this special day. While India’s banking industry is now widely regarded as among the world’s strongest, that wasn’t the case just nine years ago, as the Prime Minister pointed out.
He went on to stress the importance of the next quarter century, saying India would become the top three economies in the world thanks to rising employment and per capita income. He claimed that India had moved up from being the 10th largest economy to the 5th largest.

In the first stage of Rozgar Mela, which PM Modi started last year, 10 lakh government jobs were made available.
