Vinod Kumar, the father of Ayush (12), Ahaan alias Honey (8), who were brutally killed by Sajid in their house on march 19 has lost hope and tried to set himself on fire. Vinod Kumar set the bike ablaze and tried to immolate himself but was stopped by the police. According to reports, Vinod Kumar was extremely upset and disappointed by Police as the force is still not able to find the motive behind the killings.
The grandmother of the children said that its been 6 days since the killing and the police is still not able to find the motive behind the killings. She said that it seems that the police is hiding something.
According to the police, the father tried killing himself out of anger and grief as it is Holi and he is missing his children. The father has urged Badaun police to not kill the Javed in encounter as he wants the investigation to go on so that the motive behind the killings could be revealed.
Badaun Case: Killing of two minors
Sajid and and Javed, two brothers were accused of killing the boys barging into their house. Yuvraj, the third brother was also attacked by Sajid but he successfully fled the scene suffering certain injuries. Sajid was killed in an encounter by police and Javed fled the Badaun. Javed later surrendered himself to police in Bareilly after a video went viral of him claiming that he is innocent. At the time of encounter, the police found Sajid covered in blood-soaked clothes.
District administration of Badaun has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the matter.
