Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Bharat Tex 2024, a monumental global textile event held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. This event signifies a significant milestone in promoting India’s rich textile heritage and fostering collaboration within the industry.

He stressed the necessity of expanding infrastructure to meet rising demand, proposing the commencement of Phase 2 at both Bharat Mandapam and YashoBhoomi.

Bharat Tex 2024 serves as a platform to showcase the handloom and handicraft traditions of states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra are designated as ‘Partner States,’ with Gujarat, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh joining as ‘Supporting Partner States.’

The presence of state pavilions representing Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Assam adds depth to the event, showcasing the varied textile ecosystems prevalent across different regions of India.
