A news controversy has erupted in the state of Karnataka about congress party workers reportedly chanted slogans in Favour of Pakistan.

Bhartiya Janta Party has accused congress party for being pro-Pakistan reasoning that congress party members were seen chanting “Pakistan Zindabad” which literally means “Long Live Pakistan”.

Gaurav Bhatia, national spokesperson of Bhartiya Janta Party during a press conference organised in Delhi on Wednesday made allegations on Congress for being a Pro-Pakistan party. He said that congress party members were shouting “Pakistan Zindabad” after the results for he Rajya Sabha seats from Karnataka were announced.

The Rajya Sabha seats elections for 4 seats were held in the Legislative assembly of Karnataka yesterday. Congress party won 3 seats while BJP won just one.

Bhatia also said that Congress’ DNA has been anti-national while also calling the act of raising slogans as “insult to India’s democracy. ”

“After the results of the Rajya Sabha elections came out, Congress workers outside the Karnataka assembly raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans while celebrating Congress MP-elect Syed Naseer Hussain’s win. This is a very worrying incident, this is an insult to India’s democracy,” said Bhatia.

The party is also asking questions on Congress party members who are seen raising Pro-Pakistan slogans after they secure a win as opposed to BJP which raises pro-India slogan after any win.

Mallikarjun Kharge should Apologise

A furious Guarav Bhatia went onto ask for an apology from Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on the matter. He said
“Congress’ DNA has become anti-national. Earlier, slogans like Bharat will break into pieces, Insha Allah, Insha Allah, were raised at a public event attended by Rahul Gandhi. Don’t you think Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge should apologise?”

BJP members in the state also protested against the same outside the “Vidhana Soudha” in Bengaluru

Congress rejects all claims

Congress party has rejected all claims by saying that BJP is spreading misinformation as their members were calling out the Dr Syed Naseer Hussain and not “Pakistan Zindabad”.

Voice samples sent for investigation

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the voice samples have been sent to the FSL for checking and the culprits will be punished. He said “We have sent the voice report to the FSL, if it is true that somebody has raised the slogan ‘Pakistan Zindabad’, that person will be punished seriously.”

Home Minister of Karnataka G Parameshwara said , “We are very serious about it. If it is an anti-national slogan, we will not tolerate it. We will take strict actions, once it is confirmed by the FSL team. FIR has already registered yesterday. We have to identify the person from the FSL report and if it is true, we will take action against him.”

Karnataka Assembly Speaker UT Khader stated that if the allegations are substantiated through forensic analysis, the responsible individual would face consequences. He emphasized his intention to initiate a thorough investigation.

According to the complaint lodged by the Karnataka BJP, it claimed that following the announcement of Hussain’s election to the Rajya Sabha by the returning officer on Tuesday around 7 pm, his supporters, assembled at the Vidhana Soudha premises, allegedly raised loud ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans at the behest of Hussain, while expressing their support for him.
