CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu submitted his resignation from the post after two days of political turmoil. Former Himachal CM Jairam Thakur shared this information outside the house.

The resignation of Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is attributed to the displeasure of Congress MLAs. Following their dissatisfaction, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu resigned after submitting his resignation to the party high command. In the evening, the new Chief Minister of the state will be selected during the MLA meeting.

Bhupendra Hooda and DK Shivakumar

Observers Bhupendra Hooda and DK Shivakumar are scheduled to meet with Congress MLAs to discuss the crisis in Himachal. The observers, sent by the High Command, will facilitate the discussion. MLAs had demanded a change in the Chief Minister.

Vikramaditya Singh criticized Chief Minister Sukhu’s working style, stating, ‘I am sad to say that there has been an attempt to humiliate me as a minister. Messages sent in the department are weakening us. The government was formed with collective efforts, and I won’t succumb to pressure.’

Amid the internal turmoil of Congress, the rebel MLAs engaged in cross-voting during the Rajya Sabha elections. Meanwhile, the BJP has become more aggressive in response to the internal strife within Congress. BJP MLAs staged a fierce demonstration in the assembly, leading to a confrontation between former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur and Marshall at one point.
