The Integrated Exhibition and Convention Centre (IECC) will be built as a modern building as part of the redevelopment project. The plan for the redevelopment was cleared by the government in January 2017. The project will cost a total of Rs 2,254 crore and is meant to help the Incentives, Meetings, Exhibitions, Conferences, and (MICE) sector in the country.

The redevelopment of Pragati Maidan was expected to happen in two stages. The complex covers a large area of about 123 acres, which makes it one of the biggest MICE destinations in the country.
The redevelopment includes the IECC, which has a meeting centre on level 3 that can hold up to 7,000 people and can be used for a variety of events and gatherings.

The IECC also has a beautiful amphitheatre that can hold up to 3,000 people and is used for cultural shows, entertainment events, and performances.
