Govinda a super of the 1990’s, turns 59 today, on 21 December 2022. The actor, who is well-known for his comic timing and dance prowess, has been one of Bollywood’s most recognisable faces for more than three decades.
Govinda, who has now appeared in more than 165 movies, made his film debut in 1986 with director Shibu Mitra’s “Ilzaam.” The movie was a commercial success and assisted Govinda in establishing himself. Govinda went on to star in a number of box office hits over the course of his career.

- The actor was awarded by as the Actor of the Decade at the India Leadership Conclave in 2016.
