The Udhas family confirmed the news through a statement on social media, expressing their profound grief. The statement read, “With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padma Shri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February 2024 due to a prolonged illness. Udhas family.”
Pankaj Udhas’ Representative Speaks Out
According to Pankaj Udhas’ representative, who spoke to indianexpress.com, the maestro had been battling a prolonged illness and had been unwell in the last few days.
The representative stated, “Pankaj sir was suffering from a prolonged illness and wasn’t keeping well the last few days. He died this morning around 11 am at Breach Candy hospital.”
