Sumanth Poojary, an activist from Mulki on the outskirts of Mangaluru, has been named as the culprit.
In order to record the girl’s footage while she was bathing, reports claim Poojary hid his phone in the girl’s wardrobe. According to the police, the incident was discovered when the girl’s brother, Prajwal, went to the bathroom and found a concealed cell phone in the closet. He then filed a complaint against Poojary at the Mulki police station.

According to the police, the incident was discovered when the girl’s brother, Prajwal, went to the bathroom and found a concealed cell phone in the closet. He then filed a complaint against Poojary at the Mulki police station.
The police informed, as soon as the locals learned about the occurrence, they apprehended him and gave him over to the authorities, who then detained him in accordance with Sections 66 E of the Information Technology (IT) Act and 356 C of the Indian Penal Code (voyeurism).
He appeared before a local court and was subsequently remanded into protective custody.
A senior police official then said, “The victim/complainant, in this case, is a man by the name of Prajwal.
The occurrence took place on August 2. He continued by saying that the complainant claimed the accused intended to record films of his female family members, but the sole victim was Prajwal.
“On the phone, there is only one 18-second video. The video doesn’t contain very much. The offender has confessed to the crime and his intentions, and the phone has been seized,” he continued.
