Cost and Overview of New Corridors

The two newly approved corridors, to be developed under Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro, will be constructed at a combined cost of Rs.8399 crore.

Inderlok to Indraprastha Corridor

One of the approved corridors, extending from Inderlok to Indraprastha, serves as an extension of the existing Green Line (Kirti Nagar/Inderlok to Brig. Hoshiar Singh). This corridor spans a total of 10 stations.

Details of Inderlok to Indraprastha Corridor

Covering a distance of 12.377 kilometers, this corridor will feature a combination of underground (11.349 kilometers) and elevated (1.028 kilometers) lines.

Interchange Facilities

The Inderlok to Indraprastha Corridor will facilitate interchange with various existing metro lines, including Red, Yellow, Magenta, Violet, Blue, and Airport lines, enhancing connectivity within the city and beyond.

Connectivity to Bahadurgarh

Additionally, this corridor aims to improve connectivity with Bahadurgarh in neighboring Haryana, further bolstering regional transportation links.

Lajpat Nagar to Saket G-Block Corridor

The second approved corridor spans a shorter distance of 8.385 kilometers, connecting Lajpat Nagar to Saket G-Block. This route comprises eight stations and is entirely elevated.

The Lajpat Nagar to Saket G-Block Corridor will provide seamless connectivity to Magenta, Silver, Violet, and Pink Lines, enhancing travel options for commuters.

Another significant development is the upcoming Silver Line, now renamed the Golden Line, covering a distance of 23.622 kilometers between Delhi Aerocity and Tughlakabad. This corridor, comprising 10 stations, is part of Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro expansion.

Priority Corridors in Phase-IV

With the inclusion of the Aerocity-Tughlakabad route, Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro features three priority corridors, including Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg and Majlis Park-Maujpur, contributing to the city’s evolving transportation infrastructure.
