Goyal’s upbringing was immersed in a political environment, with his father’s involvement in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) fostering close ties with prominent BJP leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Balasaheb Deoras, and Advani. Notably, Goyal’s residence, Goyal Niwas, became a pivotal location for political discussions, even hosting meetings between Balasaheb Thackeray and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, which laid the groundwork for alliances.

His mother, Chandra Kanta Goyal, maintained political engagement throughout, serving as a councilor and later representing the Matunga Assembly seat in Maharashtra. Under her guidance, Piyush contributed significantly to BJP’s treasury, leveraging his father’s connections and fundraising skills.

Goyal’s involvement in election campaigning traces back to his support for his mother’s political endeavors. He actively canvassed for her during councilor and assembly elections, honing his campaigning skills from a young age.
