Startup Mahakumbh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Startup Mahakumbh event at 10:30 am on March 20. Describing the event as a platform that brings together stakeholders from the world of startups, innovators, and upcoming entrepreneurs, Modi highlighted India’s remarkable progress in the startups space over the past few years.

Key Highlights of Startup Mahakumbh

The Ministry of Commerce & Industries hosted the Startup Mahakumbh event on March 20, with activities expected to commence from 7:00 am until around 9:00 pm. The event, which began on March 18, aims to conclude on March 20. Its theme, ‘Bharat Innovates,’ aims to stimulate innovation, enable networking, and nurture growth prospects for startups, investors, accelerators, incubators, and industry leaders across diverse sectors.

Startup Showcase

More than 40 startups showcased their innovations at the event, reflecting the diverse range of ideas and projects in the startup ecosystem.

Visitor Engagement

Over 2,000 startups, 1,000 investors, more than 100 unicorns, and over 300 incubators and accelerators have participated in the Startup Mahakumbh, highlighting its significance as a platform for networking and collaboration.

Startup Masterclass

The MeitY Startup Hub (MSH) hosted a Startup Masterclass tailored to provide startups with insights, practical knowledge, and networking opportunities aimed at enhancing growth and success in the dynamic startup ecosystem.

Incubator Masterclass

An exclusive Incubator Masterclass covered essential topics for the success of incubators and startups, including fundraising, investment trends, mentorship strategies, and ecosystem building.

Thematic Pavilions

The event features 10 thematic pavilions, showcasing various sectors including Deeptech, AI & SaaS, Fintech, Agritech, Biotech & Pharma, Climate Tech, Gaming & E-Sports, D2C, B2B & Manufacturing, and Incubators.

Participants have the opportunity to interact with officials from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), gaining insights into government initiatives supporting startups, including funding schemes, regulatory reforms, and mentorship programs.
