Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated at an event commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit that it began when the Centre was indifferent to the state’s industrial success.
He said that they planted a small seed of Vibrant Gujarat 20 years ago, and it has grown into a large tree now.
When asked about the 20-year trip, he stated, “When Vibrant Gujarat was founded, there were no large hotels in Gujarat where foreign guests could stay.” Even government guesthouses were crowded, and we had to use university guesthouses.

PM Modi quoted Swami Vivekananda on Wednesday, saying that every effort goes through three stages: first it is mocked, then it confronts opposition, and lastly it is accepted.
On Wednesday, PM Modi is going to inaugurate development projects worth 5,206 crores in Chhota Udepur, Gujarat, including village Wi-Fi facilities in 22 districts.
According to a statement issued by the Gujarat government on Monday, PM Modi will visit Gujarat on September 27 to inaugurate projects totaling 4,505 crore in the Mission Schools of Excellence.
During his visit, he would inaugurate and dedicate several development projects in the Chhota Udepur district totaling 5,206 crore.
The Prime Minister will launch and dedicate development works totaling 4,505 crore under the Mission Schools of Excellence project, according to the declaration.
In Dahod, a new Navodaya Vidyalaya for Rs. 23 crore and an FM Radio Studio worth Rs. 10 crore will be opened. PM Modi will also launch village Wi-Fi services, which would help 20 lakh people in 7,500 villages across 22 districts.
