In acknowledgment of the burgeoning creator economy, particularly propelled by social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X, and others, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced a new category of awards—The Creators.

The National Creators Award seeks to honor excellence and impact across various domains, ranging from storytelling and social change advocacy to environmental sustainability, education, and gaming. Positioned as a catalyst for leveraging creativity to foster constructive societal transformation, these awards hold significant promise for acknowledging the innovative endeavors of digital creators.
Selection Process and Criteria
The nomination window for the National Creators Award was open on the Innovate India website from February 10th to February 29th, 2024.
Impressively, over 1.5 lakh nominations were received, accompanied by approximately 10 lakh votes cast by the public. The awards are primarily based on the number of votes garnered by each creator, reflecting a democratic and inclusive approach to recognizing talent and impact.
Diverse Categories Reflecting Creativity
The National Creators Award encompasses twenty distinctive categories, catering to a broad spectrum of creative pursuits and contributions. These include recognitions such as the Best Storyteller Award, Disruptor of the Year, Celebrity Creator of the Year, Green Champion Award, and Best Creator for Social Change, among others. With a focus on acknowledging creators across diverse fields, these categories celebrate innovation, social impact, and cultural relevance.

Celebrating Excellence: Winners of National Creator Award 2024
The culmination of the National Creators Award ceremony witnessed the accolades being conferred upon deserving recipients across various categories. Notable awardees include Shraddha Jain (AiyyoShraddha) and RJ Raunac (Bauaa) receiving the Most Creative Creator Awards in the female and male categories, respectively. Additionally, individuals such as Jahnvi Singh, Kabita Singh, and Pankhti Pandey were honored for their contributions to heritage fashion, culinary arts, and environmental advocacy, respectively.
