Particularly noteworthy is the fact that Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh have each recorded more than 500,000 registrations, illustrating widespread acceptance of the initiative across the country.

Prime Minister Modi encouraged individuals who haven’t yet enrolled in the scheme to register without delay. Stressing the potential advantages, he highlighted that the initiative offers significant savings on electricity bills for households while also guaranteeing energy generation. He emphasized that the scheme is poised to promote Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE) on a large scale, contributing significantly to a greener planet.

Union Cabinet’s Approval
The Prime Minister reminded the public that the Union Cabinet, under his leadership, approved the scheme last month. The initiative boasts a total outlay of Rs.75,021 crore dedicated to installing rooftop solar panels and offering free electricity up to 300 units every month for one crore households.
