Sabarmati-Agra Train Accident: A serious incident occurred in Rajasthan as four bogies of the Sabarmati-Agra Cantt train (train number 12548) derailed near Madar station in Ajmer. The accident happened around 1 am this morning. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this mishap.

Details of the Accident
The derailment involved four general coaches and the engine of the Sabarmati-Agra Cantt train. Railway officials swiftly responded to the scene to commence rescue operations and restore the affected coaches and engine back on track. The incident took place while the train was switching tracks near Madar Railway Station, leading to the derailment.
Updates from Railway Officials
Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) Baldev Ram informed that the Sabarmati-Agra Fort train had departed as per schedule around 5:00 pm yesterday. However, during the night, it encountered the accident with a goods train while changing tracks near Madar Railway Station. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the mishap.
Efforts and Relief Measures
Railway officials acted promptly by dispatching staff to the Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Ajmer and providing food and medical assistance to passengers at Ajmer Railway Station and Madar Railway Station. Once the tracks are restored, passengers will be sent to their respective destinations.
Impact on Rail Traffic
The train accident led to disruptions in rail services, with several train services being canceled and diverted. The affected trains include Ajmer-Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Ajmer-Agra Fort, Ajmer-Gangapur City, Ajmer-Rewari, Jaipur-Marwar, and Marwar-Jaipur services. The railway administration has also released a helpline number (0145-2429642) for passenger inquiries related to the incident.
