Rameshwaram Cafe Blast:  In a significant development regarding the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case in Bengaluru, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) made its first arrest on Wednesday. This marks a crucial step forward in the case following the explosion that rocked Karnataka’s capital on March 1, leaving at least 10 people injured.

NIA made first arrest

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a breakthrough by arresting a key person involved in the incident. The arrested individual, Muzammil Shareef, was apprehended during extensive raids across multiple locations in three states.

The NIA teams conducted raids at 18 different places, including 12 in Karnataka, five in Tamil Nadu, and one in Uttar Pradesh, leading to Shareef’s arrest. The agency took over the case on March 3 and had previously identified the main suspect, Mussavir Shazeeb Hussain, who carried out the blast, along with another conspirator, Abdul Matheen Taha, who is wanted in other cases as well.

According to NIA investigations, Muzammil Shareef provided logistical support to the main accused. The blast occurred at a Cafe on ITPL road, Brookefield, Bengaluru, on March 1, injuring several customers and hotel staff and causing significant property damage.

During the raids, the NIA seized various digital devices and cash from the suspects’ residences and shops. The agency stated that efforts are underway to capture the remaining fugitives and uncover the broader conspiracy behind the blast.
