According to authorities, a 22-year-old woman hanged herself with a saree on Sunday in Rajpur Nevri because her in-laws refused to allow her to visit her parents.
On the basis of her father’s accusation, police have filed a dowry murder case against six people, including the woman’s husband.

According to officials, Nisha, the deceased, wanted to see her parents after her husband, a naval officer, left for deployment.
Her in-laws, according to them, were not ready to send her immediately and were negotiating a’muhurat’ (auspicious moment) to allow her to visit her paternal residence.
According to Kotwali Police Station SHO Rajiv Singh, dowry murder charges have been brought against six people, including Nisha’s husband, father-in-law, and mother-in-law, based on a complaint filed by Nisha’s father Dhruv Prasad Verma.
According to police, Nisha married Amit on December 2, 2022.
They also stated that her body had been sent for a post-mortem examination.
