Suresh Khanna on Wednesday tabled the state’s annual budget for the financial year 2023-24 and the second budget for ‘Yogi 2.0’. Khanna announced that a 16.8% growth in state GDP has been registered while the employment rate is down to 4.2%. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath presided over a meeting of the state cabinet to give a nod to the budget.The annual Budget of approximately 7lakhs crore mainly focuses on the infrastructure, development, welfare schemes and empowerment of youths and women in the state, as expected.Also read: Delhi: Man kills girlfriend, stores body in RefrigeratorOn May 26 last year, the state government had presented an annual budget of ₹6.15 lakh crore. Union Finance Minister Presented Economic Survey of 2022-23
A day prior to the Country’s annual budget will be disclosed. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman presented the previous year’s Economic Survey in the Parliament house today. The session began with the maiden address of President Droupadi Murmu to the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament. The Economic Survey will be also tabled today (Tuesday) after the President’s address. The Budget session will have 27 sittings. The first part of the session will conclude on February 14. Later, the Parliament will reconvene on March 12 for the second part of the session and continue till April 6.
