The Gujarat government on Friday presented a Rs 3.01 lakh crore Budget for the financial year 2023-24, up 23 percent as against last year. Gujarat Finance Minister Kanu Desai announced that over the next five years, the state would spend Rs 5 lakh crore for the development of infrastructural facilities. The finance minister has slashed the Value Added Tax (VAT) on PNG and CNG to 5 percent from 15 percent. State’s finance minister has allotted Rs 500 crore for free refilling of free LPG cylinders twice a year 39 lakh families under Ujwala Yojana. Also, In the state budget for 2023-23, FM Desai has made a provision of Rs 200 cror
