There have been at
least 19 deaths attributed to the heavy rain that has hit many parts of north
India during the previous three days.
Knee-deep water still
covers many city streets and buildings.
More rain is expected
to fall over the next few days across the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh,
Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Delhi, and the

People from Himachal
Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Delhi took terrifying photos of the destruction and
posted them online. The photos show automobiles floating like paper boats,
filthy waters rushing into residential areas, buildings flooded on the banks of
the swelling rivers, and land cave-ins.
Constant rainfall in
Himachal Pradesh resulted in landslides and flash floods that caused misery
