National energy conservation day is celebrated every year on 14th of December. The is being observed every year in order to spread awareness about the importance of energy and the need of conserving energy by using less energy. As the day is being observed every year for a specific reason, the country started observing the day as national Energy conservation day when the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) of India implemented the Energy Conservation Act in 2001.
