PM Modi’s Visit to the United States on 23rd June: Key Highlights

On the invitation of President Joe Biden and First
Lady Jill Biden, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the United States from
June 21 to 24. On June 22, they will host a state dinner for Modi. The visit

On June 23, Modi will speak at the Ronald Reagan

Shri Amit Shah and
Gujarat’s chief minister Bhupendra Patel are expected to conduct an aerial
survey of cyclone-affected areas at approximately 11 a.m.

Amit Shah assessed the
entire situation following the cyclone and will conduct a review

Birthjoy’ amidst ‘Biparjoy’, 709 cries echoed amidst cyclone destruction.

As Cyclone Biparjoy
rushed through Gujarat, 707 infants were born to mothers in eight districts who
had been evacuated from high-risk areas. More than 500 vehicles were provided
by the state government of Gujarat to pregnant women.

Cyclone Biparjoy struck
Gujarat on Thursday night. Even though it left a path of destruction and made
one thousand villages powerless, no lives were lost. During the stressful
times, 707 babies were born to mothers who had been evacuated from high-risk

Cyclone Biparjoy: Gujarat’s Asiatic lion Conservation efforts in Gir

In
anticipation of the potential impact of Cyclone Biparjoy, which made landfall
on Thursday evening, the Gujarat government has implemented a series of
proactive measures to protect wildlife, including the rare Gir lions and other
animals,  that are considered to be the most valuable in
the world.

Rescue Teams

Adopting
a zero-casualty policy, the government of Gujarat has strategically deployed
rescue teams in critical areas, including the Gir forest, the Narayan Sarovar
Sanctuary in Kutch, and Mata’s Madh, Barda, and Narayan Sarovar regions.The
government of Gujarat set up 184 teams across nine parts of the Wildlife and
Territorial Circle of Junagadh to make sure the Asiatic lions are safe. These
teams are working hard to help people, act quickly, and get rid of trees that
have fallen. Gir East, Gir West, Sasan, Porbandar, Surendranagar, Jamnagar,
Bhavnagar, Morbi, and Junagadh Forest are some of the nine regions.

Cyclone Biparjoy: 2 fatalities, 23 injured, trees uprooted, over 950 Gujarat villages without power. 10 updates

Cyclone Biparjoy was 30 km north of Naliya in
Saurashtra-Kutch until 2.30 am. The India Meteorological Department (IMD)
predicted it will move northeast and deteriorate into a cyclonic storm by
Friday morning and a depression across south Rajasthan by evening.

1. Biparjoy made landfall near Jakhau at 6:30 pm on
Thursday as a strong cyclonic storm with wind speeds of 115 to 125 kmph gusting
up to 140 kmph.
