Pramukh Swami Maharaj and two of his greatest creations, Swaminarayan Akshardham in Gandhinagar, Gujarat and New Delhi, represent the very best of Hindu culture and values. 6 year old gets a Bravery Award in Ahmedabad on Republic day

6-year-old Veerangana Jhala from Gujarat, who saved lives of as many as 60 people stuck in fire, is to be honoured with bravery award. Surat: Minor sodomized by a tuition teacher

Amidst the rising molestation and rape cases all over the country, one more case of sexual assault has been filed in Surat. In the incident, a 22-year-old tuition teacher allegedly sodomized an eight-year-old student on Friday.The accused identified as Ganesh Aahire is accused of taking the minor to the bathroom when other students were seated in the class. He then sexually assaulted the boy. The victim is a class 1 student and used to go to tuition with his 10-year-old brother. While returning home the victim narrated the entire incident to his brother. In an assembly of tens of thousands at Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar on 27 December, national leaders and dignitaries joined His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj to pay tribute to Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s incessant travels over 45 years to ignite spirituality in people’s lives around the world. Ahmedabad Schools to have ‘bag free days’ : New Education policy.

How many of us thought as a kid not to take our bags to schools or even hated taking heavy bags to schools. Majority of us as kids would have thought about it.  And now the students will be getting it.Under the new Education Policy, the central government has recently suggested the schools to have  “Bag free days” in schools at least for 10 days annually, mainly for the students from class 6th to 8th. The main reason behind this is to increase the engagement of students in other activates other than studies which would eventually led their development. Celebrating Tribal Day at Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar.

On the seventh day of the month-long celebrations of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, thousands gathered at Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar in Ahmedabad to celebrate “Glorious Tribal Traditions: Celebrating Humanity”, marking Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s relentless efforts in uplifting tribal communities.Despite his advancing age and health conditions, Pramukh Swami Maharaj visited tribal villages regularly. In 1977, he visited 91 tribal villages of the Sabarkantha region amid the sweltering summer heat. In 1979, he toured 95 tribal villages within the Panchmahal and Bharuch regions. He travelled in the tribal villages surrounding Bodeli in 1979, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1992, and 1998. His visits elevated the remote villagers from poverty, illiteracy and addictions and inspired them to progress socially, educationally and spiritually. Vadodara to host vintage car show from January 6-8th.

Vintage car show is to be held in Vadodara from January 6 to 8.
