As Gujarat’s first patient to have a bilateral lung transplant, Marengo CIMS Hospital congratulates him on his full recovery and bids him farewell as he departs for his home country. Ahmad, a 41-year-old Syrian, had the transplant operation in January 2023 after spending more than three months bedridden due to a worsening Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD, also known as lung fibrosis).
