Ahead of state’s election, Karnataka government on Friday announced that the reservation given to minorities including Muslims would now be added to the present quota for the dominant communities across the state.That means the 4% reservation given to the Muslims under OBC Section would now be divided amongst the 2 major communities across the state which are Lingayats and Vokkalingas.  2 new reservations under the C and 2D were created during the Belagavi Assembly Session last year.Now the state’s cabinet has decided to being the religious minority community under the EWS category. While explaining about the same CM said, “The four per cent (reservation for minorities) will be divided into two between 2C and 2D.
