Two individuals have died of influenza caused by the H3N2 Influenza, Government made it clear, Each one from Karnataka and Haryana. Talking about the 1st patient who lost his life due to influenza, an 82-year-old man in Karnataka’s Hassan is believed to be the first to die of influenza in the country. Hire Gowda(Patient) was admitted to the hospital on 24th February and died on March 1, according to the medical reports patient was reportedly a diabetic and suffered from hypertension.Talking about the virus, around 90 fresh cases have been till date detected across the country, other than that 8 cases of the H1N1 virus has also been detected till now. The actual concern here is that no. of cases of the flu are increasing day by day, Most of the infections are caused by the H3N2 virus, also known as the “Hong Kong Flu”.
