As the new financial year for 2023-24 will start from 1st April. And the announcements made by Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the annual Feb 1 Union budget will now come into effect. Following are the Major rules to be changed from 1st of April :The default tax regime:  The new tax regime will be the default regime if, while submitting returns, a person does not state which of the two regimes – old or new – will they submit the return under.Tax rebate limit raised: The rebate limit has now been increased from ₹5 lakh to ₹7 lakh. What is National Digital Library For Children and Adolescents?

In her budget speech for the year 2023-24 Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaram purposed the setting up of the National Digital Library for Children and Adolescents. The library will avail the facility of quality books across geographies, languages, genres, and levels and device-agnostic accessibility.She said that states will be encouraged to set up physical libraries for them at panchayat and ward levels and also provide infrastructure facilities for accessing the resources from National Digital Library.Finance Minister in her speech mentioned,” to build the culture of reading and make up for the loss of learning during the pandemic, National Book Trust and Children’s Book Trust will be encouraged to provide and replenish non-curricular titles in regional languages and English to these physical libraries.”NGOs that are working in the education sector will also be part of this initiative. Union Finance Minister Presented Economic Survey of 2022-23

A day prior to the Country’s annual budget will be disclosed. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman presented the previous year’s Economic Survey in the Parliament house today. The session began with the maiden address of President Droupadi Murmu to the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament.  The Economic Survey will be also tabled today (Tuesday) after the President’s address. The Budget session will have 27 sittings. The first part of the session will conclude on February 14. Later, the Parliament will reconvene on March 12 for the second part of the session and continue till April 6. Finance Minister Hospitalized in AIIMS : know her health update.

Union Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitaraman was admitted in All India Institute of Medical Sciences hospital in New Delhi on Monday,according tothe sources. The 63-year-old has been admitted to a private ward of the hospital.Also read : As Covid cases spike in China, experts ask Indians to stay safe :According to official sources, Sitharaman was admitted following chest congestion and dehydration. “She suffered from chest congestion and dehydration today morning and was later admitted,” said an official on Monday.
