BJP govt to hike reservations for Lingayats, reservation for minorities scraped…

Ahead of state’s election, Karnataka government on Friday announced that the reservation given to minorities including Muslims would now be added to the present quota for the dominant communities across the state.That means the 4% reservation given to the Muslims under OBC Section would now be divided amongst the 2 major communities across the state which are Lingayats and Vokkalingas.  2 new reservations under the C and 2D were created during the Belagavi Assembly Session last year.Now the state’s cabinet has decided to being the religious minority community under the EWS category. While explaining about the same CM said, “The four per cent (reservation for minorities) will be divided into two between 2C and 2D. “Government soon to introduce GPS based toll system”

Indian government soon to have an GPS based Toll system across the country, the government is now planning for new technology for toll collection systems in the next 6 months to replace existing highway toll plazas in the country, said the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said on March 24, 2023.He further said that this move would help to reduce the traffic and would be charging for the exact distance travelled on the highways by the vehicles.
