This year marks the 51st anniversary of India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, which saw the liberation of Bangladesh, formerly known as East Pakistan. India declared victory on December 16, 1971, after the Pakistani armed forces surrendered. Since then, the day has been commemorated as Vijay Diwas to remember the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian defence forces.We celebrate Vijay Diwas as kargil war victory and to salute our soldiers in NCC we participate in various competitions like painting, poem, article writing and other activities. We also take seminars or webinars to spread patriotism in the nation and we used to tell the saga of the Spartans as well. This year 22nd Kargil Vijay downs we celebrated. Me and my friends salute the soldiers by running 22km. I also wrote an article on Kargil Vijay diwas.
