He emphasized the threats posed by cybercriminals using the darknet, metaverse, deepfakes, ransomware, toolkit-based misinformation campaigns, and strategic targeting of crucial information and financial systems while speaking at the “G20 Conference on Crime and Security in the Age of NFTs, AI, and Metaverse.”

“The G20 has so far focused on digital transformation and data flow from an economic perspective, but now it is important to understand the aspects of crime and security and find a solution,” he stated.

“An integrated and consistent approach to cyber security regulations will promote interoperability, boost confidence in information exchange, and close resource and agency protocol gaps. In order to defend the country’s vital infrastructure, it is important that member nations share “real-time cyber threat intelligence” with the active help of businesses and academics.

According to Amit Shah, neither an excessive degree of openness that endangers the very existence of our countries nor isolationist institutions like virtual firewalls should be part of our internet vision.

“Although technology has helped people, communities, and nations become closer, there are also some anti-social elements and international forces using technology to cause economic and social harm,” he said.
