The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is set to close the online application window for the Group 4 recruitment examination today, February 28. This article provides essential details for interested candidates, including eligibility criteria, exam structure, and important dates.
Application Deadline and Editing
As per the official announcement, eligible candidates have until 11:59 pm today to submit their applications on the TNPSC’s official website, tnpsc.gov.in. After submission, applicants can make the necessary edits to their forms between March 4 and 6.
Examination Details
The Group 4 recruitment examination is scheduled to take place on June 9, with a single shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The exam will consist of a single paper containing questions of SSCL or Class 10 level difficulty.
Paper Structure
The paper is divided into two sections. Part A, or the Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test, comprises 100 questions carrying 150 marks. The second part covers General Studies (75 questions) and the Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (25 questions), also totaling 150 marks.
Age Criteria
Candidates applying for this recruitment process should be aged between 18 and 32 years as of July 1, 2024, except for specific posts such as Village Administrative Officer, Forest Guard, and Forest Watcher, where the age range is 21–32 years.
Age Relaxation
Reserved category candidates are eligible for relaxation of the upper age limit as per regulations.
