Lord Mahavir is a living symbol of non-violence
Jainism teaches to follow the path of non-violence. Mahavir Swami was the 24th Tirthankar of this religion and Adeshwar Bhagwan is considered as the first Tirthankar. Born around 2600 years ago, Lord Mahavir Swami was a living symbol of non-violence. The 5 Anuratas of Jainism are Satya, Ahimsa, Aparigraha, Asteya and Brahmacharya.
Why the controversy?
Jetda village near Tharad was built as Derasar 45 years ago. Derasar was renovated due to Vastu. In Jetda village there are families who believe in both the Sangh of Be Tithi and Tristutik (Tristutik Jain Sangh). After the renovation of Derasar, Keertiyashsurishwarji Maharaj Sahib of Be Tithi Gach was invited to perform Anjanashalaka to the 2500 year old statue of Lord Mahavir Swami. Before the program to be held on February 22, there was a social media and poster war between the two groups. The matter reached Tharad Police Station. Due to this dispute, Tharad Police was forced to arrange police arrangements to maintain law and order situation in Jetra village.
Maharaj Sahib was called a “terrorist”
after the renovation of Jetda Derasar, after desecrating the 2500-year-old statue of Lord Mahavir Swami. (Kirtiyash Suri Swarji) reached Tharad while visiting. Since Tharad village has a majority of Tristutik Gachch, Tharad Police had arranged a security. However, when some elements of the Jain community hatched a pre-planned conspiracy and left for Maharaj Saheb Vihar, a large mob surrounded him and called him Hurrio using indecent language. Maharaj Saheb used the following words, “Terrorist ran away in white clothes”. Apart from this, the crowd threatened never to come to Tharad.
The crowd turned violent and the police lightly lathi-charged
Kirtiyashsurishwarji M.S. As there was a fear of violent attack on his followers, the police remained in position with batons. At one point, some elements tried to target the police first, inciting the crowd. Some elements were also forced to resort to mild lathi charge while scuffling with the police. The matter has not yet reached the police register.
The dispute between the two Sanghas came to the surface.
Jainism has three parts namely one Tithi, two Tithi and Tristutik. Fifty years ago there was only one gachch (association). The Jain Sangha Controversy between the two Tithis and the Tristutik has been raging in the last 15 years. The reason behind the controversy is to dominate Jain society. In a meeting held at Tharad, there has been a discussion of calling Be Tithi termite and boycotting the entire Be Tithi society. Till now the dispute between the two unions was never made public. Some elements of the Tharad Jain Samaj (Tharad Jain Samaj) have become a topic of discussion in the entire society for their indecent behavior with Maharaj Sahib during the vihara and its viral video.
