Pioneer for Indian Sports

Neeraj’s remarkable achievement occurred in early morning hours of August 28 when he competed against opponents from all across the world. He demonstrated tremendous skill by throwing brilliantly on his second attempt, measuring 88.17 metres, sealing his victory in the competition.

With this tremendous effort, Neeraj not only won the gold medal, but also secured his position as an pioneer for Indian sports.

Position of competitors

With a silver medal in his possession, Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, another strong competitor, came in second place. Nadeem managed a commendable throw of 87.82 metres, having previously excelled on the Commonwealth Games stage. Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic, who displayed his talent with a best throw of 86.67 metres, earned the third position on the podium.

This is a really happy occasion for our country as we received a gold medal at the World Championship, Neeraj’s father Satish Kumar told ANI, his face beaming with pride at his son’s accomplishment. As soon as Neeraj returns to India, we’ll have a celebration.
