Popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav, along with a group, is now in legal trouble as they are accused of assaulting a Delhi-based content creator in Sector 53, according to police reports on Friday. The incident reportedly took place in a shopping mall, and a video depicting the alleged assault has surfaced on social media.
Serious accusations by the complainant
The complainant, Sagar Thakur better known as Maxtern, a well-known content creator with a substantial online following, claims that Elvish Yadav not only physically assaulted him but also made serious threats. Thakur alleges that Yadav attempted to “break his spine” and even “threatened to kill him” during the assault. Thakur has a significant online presence with over 1.6 million subscribers on YouTube, 890,000 followers on Instagram, and 250,000 followers on X.
Long-standing Tensions and Distress
Thakur and Yadav have reportedly known each other since 2021, but tensions escalated in recent months. Thakur points to the alleged spreading of hate and propaganda by Elvish Yadav’s fan pages, causing distress for him. The content creator mentioned that he agreed to meet Yadav, thinking it would be a discussion, but the encounter turned violent.

Details of the Assault and Threats
Describing the horrifying incident, Thakur stated that when they met at a store, Elvish Yadav and his group, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, assaulted him and used abusive language. According to media reports, Thakur accuses Yadav of attempting to cause serious harm, stating, “Elvish Yadav tried to break my spine so that I would become physically disabled. Before leaving, Elvish Yadav threatened to kill me, and I was almost unconscious (after the beatings).”
Legal Action Initiated
Following the formal complaint by Thakur, the police registered an FIR against Elvish Yadav and others. The charges include sections 147 (riots), 149 (unlawful assembly), 323 (causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The FIR was lodged at Sector 53 Police Station on Friday evening. A thorough investigation into the matter is currently underway, as confirmed by SHO Rajender Kumar.
